Anyone recommend a blank for snook fishing, using 1-3oz flair hawk jigs? Fast action, with 20lb braid. 7-7'6" range. Re: Blank recommendation

Ken, it sounds like you're describing deeper water snook - big snook. Can you tell us a little more? Re: Blank recommendation

I'm targeting the big slobs that hang out in the current under bridges and /or at the damn overflows. The water is usually no more than 13-15' deep, but the current can be ripping (which is why I would use up to a 3oz to get it down to the bottom quickly, and then start working) Re: Blank recommendation

This MHX Rod Blank will truly handle 3 oz. I know of many anglers in Florida that are using it for the same purpose as you plan to go with - [www.mudhole.com] - You can launch a jig with it!! Makes a great Tarpon rod as well. Bob McKamey Mud Hole Custom Tackle bobm@mudhole.com Re: Blank recommendation

From our RainShadow lineup we'd go with the Revelation REVC72MH or 76MH to handle up to 3oz jig.
