Prowrap claims the metalic twist has strong tensile strength so should be fine, besides I don't think a 3 oz. fish is going to pull that hard. Re: Prowrap twist

Hi Ken,
ProWrap metallic twist (www.mudhole.com/ProWrap-Metallic-Twist-100yd) has a Nylon core so it will be fine for your application. Something to consider when using smaller vs. larger diameter threads: A larger diameter thread will have a higher tensile strength (usually), but a smaller thread will make significantly more passes around a guide foot, each pass of thread = more strength.
