Hi All, I am brand new to Rod Building .org (just 15 min ago) and I am a real newbe. My first question is what is a comfortable dimension for the V-slots on the rod wrapper, or is it advisable to make the V slots adjustable. I have never used a rod wrapper and from all that I have read it is a very tedious job and I need some guidance. I do a lot of reading and watched Youtube but there was no dimensions anywhere,Thank you very much for any assistance. Nick R. Re: rod wrapprer dimensions

yes they should be adjustable on the base not necessary for the up right
the v slots should be at least 2 inches deep and about 6 inches tall to the top your base can be as long as you want most are 8 ft. The best day to be alive is always tomorrow !! Welcome,
Spend a bit of time in the site library across the top. Plans for a rod wrapping jig and many other interesting articles are in there. Re: rod wrapprer dimensions

Examples of a few different rod rests used on wrappers:

Thank you all for your rapid response, I am building this wrapper similar to the Sully but with lots of personal changes. For instance mounting and torquing the thread at different points and now with your assistance I will make the V notches movable from 3" to about 7" above the base. I will post pictures when it's all done, again thank you all. Nick R. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
