Want to do a dragon scale wrap. Have not done one before. Seems to be simple enough, which means the first test wrap will be, well, you know, somewhere between ugly and an awful mess. Check my thinking:
1. Wind the dry wall mesh tape on the blank at a 45 degree angle (and hope the tape adhesive holds for a few minutes); 2. Wrap the length of the dry wall mesh taped area with size A metallic thread; 3. Wrap the ends of wrapped area with a contrasting / complementing color, and; 4. Apply 2 coats of epoxy, the first a thin, light or medium viscosity formula and the second a high viscosity finish coat. So, what have I missed? Where am I most probable to mess things up? Thanks to all in advance. Re: Dragon Scale Wrap

Ditch the tape. Use C thread under, as many axis as you want, based on a square pattern. Over with A metallic. Your finish steps are good to go. Use the tape and it will look, well.....just like you used tape. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
