I am almost finished with a new, modern build on a vintage Fenwick SP782 blank which I will post photos upon completion. I'd like to incorporate a picture or rendering, preferably a decal, of an old wooden lure, i.e. a creek chub minnow or some other vintage lure, onto the rod near the handle. I've searched every decal distributor on the web with no luck for such an image. There are plenty of decals depicting every sport fish known, flags, and mermaids, but I see no lures.
I've also tried making my own decals in the past, but my printer does not print heavy enough to make the decal opaque and I am certainly not artistic enough to paint the image. Looking for suggestions for an easy, relatively inexpensive way to get a transfer decal, or equivalent, to stick onto the rod and epoxy over. Re: Old Lure Decal

You should be able to find plenty of images of lures like you are seeking. I suggest you see if Decal Connection could use an image to make the decal for you. Re: Old Lure Decal

Wouldn't that be copyrighted, as the lure is still made and owned by Pradco I think now. Re: Old Lure Decal

The lure and it's images are separate issues. Many images in the public domain. Re: Old Lure Decal

If its just for personal use, any such decal may possibly fall under the "fair use" exception to copyright infringement. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
