Missing sliding hood

Hi I have the reelseat and there is no sliding hood (I don't know if that is correct name for that part). Do you guys think I can use the reelseat without that part? Are you unable to get the retaining ring? If it works, it works, but I think that you may damage the threads or the threads may cut into your reel foot. Re: Missing sliding hood

GET the missing part! That looks like a Pac Bay seat. I'm sure they can help you out. If it arrived missing the reel foot hood, you need to talk to the place where you bought it. Re: Missing sliding hood
