Hi
I have the reelseat and there is no sliding hood (I don't know if that is correct name for that part). Do you guys think I can use the reelseat without that part? I have tried one of my reels to it and it worked quite well.. but do you know any problems when using it that way?

Check the photos:

Thanks again!

Are you unable to get the retaining ring? If it works, it works, but I think that you may damage the threads or the threads may cut into your reel foot.

GET the missing part! That looks like a Pac Bay seat. I'm sure they can help you out. If it arrived missing the reel foot hood, you need to talk to the place where you bought it.

Hi Tommi,

Please e-mail me the picture of the reel seat and if indeed it is a Pacific Bay reel seat I will see what I can do to get you the part you need. My e-mail address is tom@fishpacbay.com
