I cannot figure why so many praise Gutebrod thread. I was excited and felt lucky to find a couple of spools of Gutebrod thread, but found them to be terrible compared to regular- ol’ ProWrap. Maybe it’s just this newbie. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Gudebrod thread

Mark,
As always, to each their own, but I've been using Gudebrod thread for at least 30 years, and I like it. Maybe because I am used to it. I don't seem to have any issues. Fortunately, I bought enough to last me several more years! But when I run out, it's either time to stop building rods, or try some of the other threads I have. We'll see how fishing is... Take care, Chris Re: Gudebrod thread

Thanks, I like their black NCP, I have a spool here that is almost done and when epoxied it goes like a very dark midnight blue color. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
