Hey guys,
New member here and I am sure this has probably been asked and answered, but does anyone know the reason for white residue left on wraps after color preserver and is there any way to fix it before applying finish? I may have gone a little heavy on it but I have not had this issue before. Thanks in advance. Rick Re: Color preserver white residue

Rick,
Perhaps the color preserve has not totally dried. It should be clear after drying. Don Campbell don@sensorfishingrods.com Re: Color preserver white residue

The maximum should be two coats. You may have more on than required. There is some chance that once the epoxy is applied any white specks will disappear.

I had the same issue and asked that question on here recently. The white residue will disappear with the finish. If it is just a residue. I had one spot where a bubble had been and you can see the white spot through the finish. You are supposed to be able to clean that stuff up with water, but I used alcohol and water and could not get that white build up off. I hope this helps. Brad Pitts Re: Color preserver white residue

Thanks for your comments. Unfortunately the residue did not disappear but the good news is it adds another rod to my collection;) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
