Has anyone built a push pole for flats fishing? I was checking out a carbon sleeve supplier and it got me thinking. I appreciate any input. Thx Re: push pole

Yes I did years ago from a tube Lamiglas had on sale, may have been originally designed for building oars, but the parts fit. Used to pole through lilly pads, etc. much quieter than moving through the stuff with a trolling motor or paddle. Re: push pole

Thanks, good idea. Didn't think of oar shaft. I can get ferrule and tips. Re: push pole

Nice if you put a duck bill on the end of the push pole to help to keep the pole from pushing so far into the mud.
