I was looking for a 3 pc steelhead blank 8' to 8' 6" for 8- 15 lb test, up to say 3/4 oz casting weight. I thought St Croix made one but now I can't find it.
Is anyone else making a 3 pc like that? Re: 8'-8'6" 3 pc steelhead blank?

Can you live with a 4 piece? Two blanks from different sponsors, one 8 ft 6 inches, 8 to 20 lb line, Angler's Workshop. 8 ft., 6 to 15 lb line, D Blue Fishing. Re: 8'-8'6" 3 pc steelhead blank?

[hnlcustomflyrods.com] go for Elite SD series blanks.
Other than the above, if you manage to find a Rainshadow RX8 XF9010-4 blank, this will give you a great steelhead spinning or casting rod blank with upper CW slightly nudging the 3/4 oz. limit and power, which I estimate at an easy 14-15 lb. Admittedly: it is 9', not 8' or 8'6" and in four, not three pieces. There is also a blank manufacturer in Poland who makes 3 and 4-piece spinning/casting/S&S blanks: [www.fishingart.eu] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
