Um yes. I'd prefer the hoods to not be painted though. Also would be somewhat concerned about the paint on the barrel holding up.

I am not into painted rods or reel seats, but with that said from what I have seen there appears to be a lot of interest in painted reel seats to match painted blanks, custom grips and decorative wraps . Matagi has been selling painted Fuji seats for a while and when you find them here in the US they command a premium price of $40 or more ( I assume some of this reflects shipping). I do think they would sell, especially if the price was reasonable. The Matagi Fuji seats I have seen appear to be very durable and hold up well.

They look really sharp Jim. I assume they have a clear coat on them. For the custom rod builder who wants to make that special-blow-your-mind custom build I think they would be great. For those of us that build a lot of true custom rods for the angler (especially here in the Midwest) I think they would be pricey based on what has been offered in the past and their cost. Out of 200 or so custom rods a year I would see myself putting a reel seat like that on maybe 5 or 6 rods.

Great looking product, but it all comes down to affordable cost.

They look nice, but have to agree with buzz about affordability.

I like "em. I could see using some of those. I'd hazard a guess they're not for everybody, but I'd also bet a few people would really like them. There is a certain set of custom rod customers that are seriously into "bling", and these are definitely bling.

I've been speaking to the UK distributor about these for ages Jim.

If you go ahead with this put me down for a trade sized order. (And i would like the hoods color matched!)

(i believe that Fuji themselves will not produce these, and the Matagi versions are "grey" versions)

I've wondered that in the past myself. Sometimes the wording on seat is different then what we get in stores etc.

They make some nice stuff for sure though
