Guys looking for a blank under $100 for throwing weightless to 1/8 ounce Senko 4"... Will be building as a casting rod, and need something with a light tip with good power in the butt. I will be using this on weed edges or weed flats, not matter grass situations. So I won't be throwing this in super heavy cover, have a heavier action blank for this. I want some thing that will be sensitive, but allow me to cast a weightless plastic with ease, so not looking for a stiff blank at the tip. Will be using 10-12 lbs test flouro with this rod. Any ideas Re: Senko Rod

I used an MHX SJ842 for a build almost identical for this. It's perfect for it, I have it rigged up with 12lb fluorocarbon and I use it primarily for pitching and casting weightless 5" senkos. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 08/06/2016 04:09PM by Michael Maclean. Re: Senko Rod

Rainshadow Immortal IMMC73ML. Perfect for what you're looking for. Light, sensitive and casts light baits beautifully. And it can be had for under $100. Re: Senko Rod

I agree with the Mhx SJ842 if you don't want to spend the whole bill. Very versatile blank. I would also recommend one of the Phenix M1 medium light blanks. Soft tip, good backbone, crisp and responsive. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
