About a dozen issues cover the topic in different variations. Any specific type or style you're looking for?

I have never built one and was wondering. the difference between regular spinning Rod. That is as far as a guide train. I generally only go with the Micro Wave. but would
like something different on this. Ohio Rod Builders Canton, Ohio Re: Tennessee handle

No, the guides don't care what type handle the reel is mounted to.

Bill,
Really no issue at all with Tenn. handles. Tenn. handles are simply a constant diameter handle on to which the reel is affixed with rings, or tape. The reel is essentially going to be in the same place with a Tenn. handle as it is with a conventional reel seat and grip. So, no change in the guides or guide setup compared to a standard non Tenn. reel seat and grip. I generally make the Tenn. handles of cork. Just stack up your cork rings as high as you want the handle to be - reaming each ring as you go and glue up with Titebond III or epoxy. Put it on the lathe, turn to a constant diameter of the size you prefer. Glue the grip on the rod and finish the rod. Or grab a constant diameter piece of EVA in the diameter you prefer and use as is, or if necessary ream out the inside to fit the blank and glue in place. Nothing easier or more simple to make and do than build a rod with a Tenn. grip. Be safe Re: Tennessee handle
