Question on the Rodmaker UTube video on thread inlays- When doing these do you use the same size thread for the inlay as you do for the main wrap? I did not recall hearing or seeing anything that talked about thread sizes. Re: Question on Videos

You can use different sizes, but the appearance will be different. For instance, if the inlay thread is smaller than the main guide wrap thread, the effect of the inlay will be more subtle. If the inlay thread is larger than the main guide wrap thread, the effect is enhanced.
I prefer to use the same sized thread for both, which I think gives the most uniform appearance. ........... Re: Question on Videos

Don't be cheap Get the size which is usually A - D is not usually needed for any wraps Bill - willierods.com Re: Question on Videos

Interesting answer Bill. Remind me again why you don't or won't use Fuji thread. Especially the metallics. Re: Question on Videos

I have so much pro wrap ??Do I throw it out or try to sell it for a loss
I have also read a lot of good things here about Fuji thread I don't think it makes much difference in thread other then price I learn how to over come any problems like springy metallics Blues just tr not to use because of fading Bill - willierods.com Re: Question on Videos

Yes I like it Just the metallics are I guess wrapped tight which makes then spring loose when cut
I work around that just to clarify The poster sounded like he did not want to get one spool of thread - Don't blame him Shipping Unless one adds more to the order Bill - willierods.com Re: Question on Videos

I use Bullard's, especially their metallic.
No memory, no uncoiling of the spools, no flaking, and no fuzzies. (when wrapped properly) Try it, you'll like it! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
