very nice Tom gave me some ideas thou I do mine a little different But generally the same I just hate the beginning and end of the trim I always keep trying to make the thread look as one Some times it works and some times not I always do the trim to the left on the main thread do the turns then wrap over
Got to try that way

Thanks, Tom.

The extra trim / inlay turn is so simple a technique I wonder why I have not seen it or thought of it before. Life just got a bit simpler.

Thanks again.

Tom,

The video turned my lights on....they are sometimes a little dim when it comes to figuring out the easiest ways to create a specific wrap. Thank you for all you do for custom rod building!

Nicely done Tom. Howevever, I always have a problem pulling the trim piece out no matter how careful I try to be. Perhaps holding the hidden end with the thumb will be my cure. What I've been doing is lay down the trim before I start the main wrap so it's anchored down from the start. The tag sticking out the left side is usually used to make the trim on the left end of the wrap (assuming I remembered to insert a pull loop).

Long time lurker and just joined (registered) today. Don't know why it took me so long. Looking forward to learning lots more from you guys. I bought your book last year when I started building, Mr. Kirkman.

Awesome video and it is always nice to see it done versus pictures in a book or magazine. Thanks.
