POINT BLANK ROCKS

Well yesterday I tried to post about this but something must have gone wrong as the post isn't here any longer.

I received my Point Blank PB731MHF along with a Northfork IM MB724-1. Both are very nice blanks however the PB is by far much nicer than just about any other blank that I have had in hand. The Northfork is a very nice blank but in hand the PB is far and again lighter.

I have been on a search for the most sensitive blank that I can find for my technique and so far that title belongs to my HMMB705, however it is lacking in power. I feel that the MB724 has more power than the HM705 but both are behind the PB. I am hoping that the PB has the sensitivity that I am looking for, it if does, I will have found my new favorite brand of blanks!

For those of you who are looking for a replacement to the old Loomis 843, I would say that the IMMB724 is a direct fit or so it feels that way as compared to the IMX and GLX 843's I have in for repair.

Both of these are very nice blanks I just prefer the PB.

If you've not tried one, I would pull the trigger!!

Tom

Thanks Thomas. All the descriptive text and brilliant prose I can muster in describing POINT Blank pales in comparison to having one in your hand. Precision Instrument.

Jim, just to let you know, the customer that I spoke with you about on the PB731MXF who was planning on using it for the walleye run on the Maumee River finally fished it. He commented "tremendous backbone" and "sensitivity is unbelievable". Coming from a guy who has a pretty good stock of custom builds... Said the rod passed his expectations. Keep up the great work and pass the word to the designers.

Jim you are right. It is nice that it is 3 inches longer than the Northfork HM that I have and is still the same weight. I absolutely love it.
