Hi Guys
I'd like to re-whip some rod guides. I've checked the library and tried searching but had no results. Any advice welcomed please on how to remove guide epoxy and whippings and cleaning blank of old epoxy. Thank you John Re: Replacing whipping

Check the FAQs page on this site - it contains that very information.

Use a razor knife to cut along the side of the guide, and cut off the old guide threads. Take care not to cut into the blank, the thread will come off in strips. Re: Replacing whipping

Try not to disturb the finish past the threads as it will be difficult if not impossible to make that area look like it did before. I will try to place the new thread exactly in the same places as the old. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
