What thread have you guys had good luck with recently? Especially regarding no "fuzzies".

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

Fuji and Pac Bay. The Fuji A is pretty thin for a. Pac Bay lays down very smooth for me. I am using a Flex Coat hand wrapper with the sewing thread tensioners.

Makoi! This is one case that I would advise getting a few different brands and trying them out for yourself. I have thread from Fuji, Rice, Gudebrod, YLI, Fishawk, Makoi, Maderia, Sulky and Pro Wrap. I like all of what I have listed except for one. It simply doesn't work for my style but I am sure there are others that love it. I don't like the way it handles, it doesn't work for the way I wrap, other than that nothing wrong with it.

Tom

Mostly Pro Wrap some Fish Hawk but no Fuji, I feel it's to thin and see no benefit to the polyester. Also I have come to like the B size now offered by Pro Wrap.

to Mudhole I understand this may be proprietary information and not for public knowledge but is it possible to allow the custom rod building community know who is utilizing your thread for repair purposes? It would allow us to ensure that we have the correct thread to match while executing repairs.

Thanks,
Tom Kaufmann

Thanks Tom. I too have done this as well. I was just hoping to possibly bypass a phone call and be able to get right to the repair.

Thanks,
Tom
