I am starting my first custom rod, and im wanting to do a simple diamond wrap above the foregrip. my question is, do i need to put the handle on first or can i start with the diamond wrap? i guess the reason for this question is i want to start the diamond wrap under the fore grip to make sure there is no gap between the foregrip and the start of the wrap, or would that interfere with putting the grip on later? That will depend on the grip you are using, Link us to the grip or tell us what it is you're using. Jaa Re: what to do first?

i have been practicing the diamond wrap and im having alot of trouble getting the spacing right and the angle right. would anyone have any advice on how i can be more consistent while working on this? thanks for any helps Re: what to do first?

I usually do my wraps first then mount the grips.
[www.rodbuilding.org] [www.rodbuilding.org] I do the wrap, cp and then the first, very thin coat of epoxy. Mount the grips, then the final coats of epoxy. Chris Richer Iroquois ON Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
