NCP for weaving???

I'm just starting to do some very basic two-color weaving. My main thread (i.e. vertical) is garnet without CP, and I want to weave with white NCP (i.e. horizontal). Here's my question: Can I do this and the white NCP not show up too badly UNDER the garnet? I've done this sort of thing before with garnet and metallic gold. I could barely see the metallic gold thread under the garnet, so I considered it successful. But, will it work with the NCP? Thanks Re: NCP for weaving???

Can't answer the specific question but the best way to find out is to try a sample. Re: NCP for weaving???

The only thing I can say is that npc thread does not blead where non npc threads well blead. Good luck Bob Re: NCP for weaving???

you should not have any problems with the NCP. The previous statement regarding nylon thread bleeding is correct. The white will stand out more than a nylon white once you apply the color preserver, but it should work out ok. The problem is when you dont get enough pentration on the nylon garnet - as I am sure you know. good luck Re: NCP for weaving???

That combination whould work out OK. Usually when I weave with light colours, I usually use NCP. As said before, the color shows up better. If you use the non NCP thread and use color preservative after the weave, you'll find that the darker color will show through the lighter one unless its metallic.
