Seeker 706-s versus RFLE?

Hello,
I'm in need of a crank bait rod, and have read a lot of posts, and almost all are positive for these 2 models. I was hoping someone who has handled or built both could tell me how they differ. I know that Rich Forhan was a big proponent of the BC-706-S, and later designed the RFLE. From what I've read, the 706-s is more of a fast blank. RFLE is listed as more mod-fast, but haven't seen any CCS/RDA numbers on them. Thanks, Craig Re: Seeker 706-s versus RFLE?

I have RDA data on the BS706S
Power (grams): 430 Tip Angle: 73 _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. That's sort of the whole point." - Thomas McGuane Re: Seeker 706-s versus RFLE?

What length is the RDA "data" based on? You would have to build the rod just like whatever it was taken from for this to be accurate, right? Even then the idea that the part of the rod blank behind the reel seat does not count is in error I think. It is still the fulcrum so it still plays the same role. Re: Seeker 706-s versus RFLE?

My measurements were based on a 72" working length. I use RDA for comparing blanks. All that matters to me is what my data does for me. The OP asked about fast vs mod-fast. The 73 deg tip angle is fast. Doesn't matter if you shift the blank either direction a few inches on the test fixture. =) However, the slower reaction time of glass still makes this one a great crankbait blank! _________________________________________ "Angling is extremely time consuming. Thanks Guys, but has anyone handled both blanks so they can give opinions on how they compare? I know there are the S and C in the Seeker, and 3 in the RFLE line, but I thought I might have more luck with a response if I didn't narrow it. I realize it would be best to contact The one place carrying the RFLE. I did, and they never got back with me.
Thanks Again, Craig Re: Seeker 706-s versus RFLE?

Thanks, that's who I contacted. They did not email back to me, so I thought I would ask here.
