Is there somewhere I can order custom cork grips from? Such as checker board, burnt etc.
I'd do it myself but really don't have the room in my apartment to turn cork. Thanks. Re: Custom cork grips?

Try this link
[www.customflygrips.info] I've not purchased from them - turn my own - so no experience with the company. Re: Custom cork grips?

I'd love to do it myself but living in an apartment I'm assuming it would make quite the mess. Re: Custom cork grips?

Jason,
No question about it, making a cork grip in an apartment is a really bad idea. However, you could wait until warm weather and do it on the back lawn or similar. Be safe Re: Custom cork grips?

Or you could use a vacuum cleaner (held by a pair of willing and uncomplaining hands ;-)) put up against the turning lathe and really do it indoors. Plus sprinkling the cork and the sandpaper with some water will help reduce the mess.
Mind you, the vacuum cleaner must be turned on! Re: Custom cork grips?

I will second, third or even fourth Joe M. at customflygrips.com. I have ordered more than a few from him and the quality is always top notch. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
