Looking through the photos sections I've noticed some home made wrappers with an aluminium bed. I was wondering what is that exactly and where would you find it? In particular to Barry Thomas' rod wrapper with the aluminum bed that kinda resembles three X's. Thank you for your time,

Jacob,
Depending on where you live, and how large the city - if you live in a city - you may have a steel yard that also sells Aluminum. For example, the wrapper that I made was made with a piece of channel that I picked up at the local steel yard. Very inexpensive. [www.rodbuilding.org] After bringing it home, I had a friend who owns a machine shop, mill a 1/4 inch slot down the center of the channel for holding my rod rests. Be safe Re: Homemade Rod wrappers
