What kind of guide is this?

And does anyone have a stash of them? Need one in a size 6 or 8? Located on an old Fenwick rod that the customer wants repaired.

Checked my stash of old salvage guides this morning and found something similar to what you show. They are old stainless steel Fuji guides with a black shock ring containing aluminum oxide inserts. They have the ring size and Fuji stamped on their feet. I have 2 size 8, a 10, and a 12. They are used but in good usable shape. You can have them if you want them. Hope this helps.

Norman may be correct about those being Fuji guides but only if the rod was made before 1981. Looking at the finish on the wraps I believe that the Fenwick rod is newer than that . That wold mean that the guides are STG model PacBay guides with welded frames and black shock rings. STG guides are still a catalog item and can be purchased through your favorite PacBay dealer.

If the rod has a serial number then it was made prior to 1981 and the guides are probably Fuji otherwise they are PacBay unless someone has redone the rod using guides other than the factory specified for that rod.

Vic I think you are correct, mentioned the PAC Bay S guides to Jesse via email after he contacted me. He found the guides he was looking for; worked out great for him.
