Hello,
I recently purchased hundreds of rod blanks and am trying to identify a Sabre blank. It has an orange sticker that has SABRE printed on it with 665 hand written underneath. It has a size 8 tip. No other designations. The blank is black. Does anyone know any specifications for this rod? I am specifically trying to determine if this rod would make a good stand up Tuna rod for 80# line. Thank you, David Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/02/2015 07:31AM by David Gaestel. Re: Sabre Blank

There were several version of that blank, from lite to heavy. Based on the tip size, I would say it is rated for no more that 50# max Ron Weber Re: Sabre Blank

Basically, the Sabres had line ratings that are the same as Calstar or Seeker equivalents. Leon Todd, owner of Calstar/Tackle Specialties, was the creator of the Sabre line. Re: Sabre Blank
