With shop space being at a premium I've been utilizing my american tackle wrapper as my grip lathe. It does the job fine but I'd like to upgrade to the tailstock they offer for safety. Has anyone used the tailstock available from american tackle through various retailers that can attest to it's worth? Right now i'm using a rod support to keep my mandrel centered but I'm not to excited about it's holding ability at speed. Re: American Tackle TailStock

We do not offer a tail stock for the wrapper. Thanks _______________________________ God Bless, Don Morse 800-516-1750 ext. 1207 / don@americantackle.us Rod Building..... It's What We Do. Re: American Tackle TailStock

One thing you can do is put two rod supports on the outboard end of the mandrel. This adds some extra measure of safety and support there.

Ah yes Don I see the tailstock offered online simply says it fits pacbay or american tackle. My mistake on that front.
Tom thanks for the dual support idea. Re: American Tackle TailStock

I have the Pac Bay tail stock. Mine was defective so I contacted Pac Bay. They sent me a packing slip and I sent it back to them. The found the defect and sent a replacement within two days. They were friendly and professional. Re: American Tackle TailStock
