Hi all! I'm coming off a long and rough 5 year hiatus. Custody battle, Army division duty, insane hours and hideous miles driven. Had to totally suspend rod building. Now that it's over, it's time to slide back into the saddle. I've got a number of blanks on the way and will post Common Cents info when they get in, hopefully of use to someone.
Anyway, I come off a 5 year break and see that micro Minima tip tops are now commonplace. Good to see. I'm browsing through the 2016 Pac Bay catalogue and the new (to me) MFT Minima fly tip tops jump out. They look sturdy and like the lack of a brace will further reduce line tangling, but looks are skin deep. Anyone used them on a fly rod or therwise and would care to comment on strength and durability, particularly if used on a spin/cast rod? They're a perfect height match for the fly guides (big surprise) while the micro tops aren't. Thanks!! Re: MFT Tip Tops

Thanks for bring these to my attention. I don't know if they are new or if it was just an oversight on my part. I along with Jay have been using the Minima guides and like them. My only problem with them is that the ID of the ring is only 3.2mm. Good for a light weight rod. Just a thought. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
