Yes Will
I have been using this concept for a while now and found from client reports and my own rods that the concept works very well. It does seem that more guides are needed and guide sizing is critical.I have used this concept on rods from 6ft to16ft all surprisingly work well.(I have one client that owns 20 or so rods that I built and he want`s them all to be KR concept now) Have fun

I have, and it worked great. I placed the choke and reduction train guides using the numbers and the guide sizes the KR guide placement software provided, and let static load set the remaining running guides. The number of running guides the software calls for is just a suggestion, as the action and power of the rod blank will have a bearing on the number of guides needed, as will how closely you want the line to follow the curve of the rod.

I ended up using two more running guides than the software called for.

Just something to consider if you're still in the process of ordering parts

I have one ready and building another one. It works great and produces very sensitive rods having a great range. You can use the GPS software or the table edge method if you have the reel at your disposal. Test cast using different positions for the stripper guide and see what works best. Running guides are placed using Static Load Theory as normal. The core of the KR concept is rapid choking (i.e. choker closer to the reel) you can find a lot of help on their website and also in past threads on this forum.
