I just watched a video on you-tube about the use of mylar tape on a Tiger Wrap. Does anyone have a source for buying mylar tape on line? Thanks!! Re: mylar tapeI

You can also use silver or gold thread A with a thin coat of finish over then wrap the red over Bill - willierods.com Re: mylar tapeI

I believe Doc Ski uses some used in fly tying and probably some from craft stores. It may not all be tape, but tinsel ribbons. Re: mylar tapeI

Michael's or any similar craft store. I have had expectional luck with Duck brand. Maybe Hobby Lobby might have it. I have found it in 1" and 3 " sizes. You can also use sheet tinsel but you have to use and adhesive to fix it to the blank. Re: mylar tapeI

Another option is Sulky Holoshimmer thread. It's a flat mylar thread with holographic accents. I've used it for accent wraps in the past. It's likely not strong enough for guide wraps on anything beyond an UL panfish rod, but works great for a base layer or accent wrap.
