Hello,
I've been unable to find a source for red pine bark. I'd prefer thicker west coast bark from Oregon or Washington, but at this point will take just about anything. Does anyone know of a source? Re: Red Pine Bark

John, I have been looking for a pine bark source myself. I have had a lot of requests for pine bark. Joe Moriarity Director Of Operations Custom Fly Grips LLC [www.customflygrips.com] [www.facebook.com] joe@customflygrips.com Re: Red Pine Bark

You can usually find the bark at a landscaping company and some of the big box stores.
You will have to cull through the bag to get enough. Scott Re: Red Pine Bark

Scott,
Do you have a bagged brand you would recommend? The bagged stuff I have checked here in NY has no useful yield, it's all too fine. Re: Red Pine Bark

Sorry I don't. You may have some luck checking several different stores. In WI, I got mine at Menards. It has been several years ago. You should look for Western Red Cedar bark.
And don't bother putting the big pieces with holes drilled into the garden. Haha ha. Scott Re: Red Pine Bark

Cedar I can find, but that's not what I'm looking for. It's Red Pine... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
