I have a container of cork filler by rod-dancer that dried up on me. I've only used it a couple of times and it has already hard and dried up. any tips I could do to increase the storage life on them? Ive used elmers wood filler glue, and it works just fine, but the color doesn't match as well as rod-dancers cork paste. Re: Cork filler shelf life (tips)

Try putting a sheet of Saran wrap over the jar opening before putting the lid on. I can't say this will work, but I have talked to a few guys that have done this and they claim it prolongs the life of the product by a bit.

Use some Elmer's glue and sanding from cork and make your own filler. Looks better than anything else. Put some cork sandings in a cup and add the glue and mix it up well to a consistency where you can spread it where you want, let dry and then sand it. Re: Cork filler shelf life (tips)

I have mine in a ziplok bag. Close to six months after opening for the first time, and it's still very usable. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
