I have just received the first reports from clients using their new rods, based on one of the new Batson Immortal blank.
Very light , tough blanks that are beautifully finished. Just the right action for the fish being targeted. You might give one of these blanks a try. They not only look great, but catch fish very well as well. Take care Re: Batson Immortal blank.

Roger,
I've been thinking about making a rod to give as a gift to one of my long time customers. His son is a pretty special kid, it would be for him when he earns it. I've been looking over the Eternity and immortals but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet. My initial thought was towards the Eternity. I really liked the feel of the couple I handled at the ICRBE, but I got distracted before I could get a chance to spend some time with the Immortals and just never got back to the display before the show ended. I have to decide on a blank in the next month or so. I'm going to try my first set of TKLTG-H on this one and match them with some airbrushed foam core grips and threadwork in an Eagle Scout theme (he's getting close). It's sort of a big thing for me, I rarely get to build stuff like this. So much of my work is (mundane for me) trolling gear. I'm probably unnecessarily indulging a bit, but what the heck, it's not about the cost on this one. Re: Batson Immortal blank.

I am building an Eternity right now. One of the best feeling Blanks I have ever held. Impecable finish and great action, yet light as a feather. I dont thing you would be disappointed with anything in that series. Re: Batson Immortal blank.

John, for what you are planning, I would go with the blank that best suited the theme. All these blanks are so great that the differences in performance are pretty small. Having said that, if toughness of the blank is a priority (nano tech), cost is not an issue, you may want to go Eternity. Re: Batson Immortal blank.

Roger,
I recently built a Rainshadow IMMORTAL IMMC76XH for a customer and was very impressed with the quality of the blank. They make a very beautiful build with their titanium blank finish. The guy was really happy with the rod. I am currently building for a customer a Rainshadow Eternity 2 - ETEC72MH. He said he wanted a "Cadillac rod". I was so impressed with the Rainshadow Immortal blank, I decided to build an Eternity 2 blank for the customer. I am using an Alps Toray Graphite Reel Seat, Fuji Torzite/Ti Guides and a carbon fiber slip grip from Mike Pedersen at Riley Rods, (I must say the carbon fiber grip is a thing of beauty). I believe the customer is going to get his "Cadillac Rod". Batson Enterprises is bring their "A Game" with the Eternity 2 and Immortal line of blanks! These blanks are finally back in stock at Batson. Don Campbell don@sensorfishingrods.com Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/06/2015 09:45AM by Donald R Campbell. Re: Batson Immortal blank.
