crank bait blank

Need some blank suggestions for a couple of crank bait builds.

First, a small cranking rod for square bills and shallow baits such as KVD 1.5's and 200 series Bandits. Open to all brands, but want to keep this blank under 100$. 7' to 7'6" one piece.

Second, A medium cranking rod such as KVD 5 & 6xd, Bandit ledge series. Open to all brands but would like a more premium blank. Budget of 160$ or less. 7' to 7'6" one piece

Thanks for any help. Joe

Swampland's RFLE 765 will fit the bill for both blanks. I took about 1/4" off the tip of mine and trimmed the butt so it finished out at 7'. It's a fantastic cranking blank.

Isn't quite 7 feet, but a very nice blank for small cranks - Bushido

CB68/6-12 6'8" 1 MEDIUM MOD-FAST 6-12 1/4 - 5/8 4.5 .415 1.37

CCS numbers are almost identical with the Loomis blend , just a little higher AA.

Check out the American Tackle Bushido blanks..... they are a super tough, super reliable blank and feel amazing.

For the small cranks I would look at the CB72/8-15 .... 7'2" that is rated for the 3/8-3/4 oz. lures

For the 5 & 6 XD.... look at the CB72/12-25 .... 7'2" that is rated for 1/2-1 3/8 oz. or if you want something a little longer check out the CB78/10-20 rated at 3/8-1 1/14 oz.

The Bushido blanks will fit into almost every budget and are very popular.

Joe,

I have built a number of Phenix Rods Crankbait Sticks for customers and they really like them. Both the solid glass blanks and the composite blanks are really good. Of course the solid glass blanks are heavier than the composites. Check them out. I especially like the Phenix Rods Composite-X Crankbait Blanks.
