Most commercial companies make or source their own blanks. Generally you can't buy the same blank.

Hi,
Years ago Diawa made an Eliminator Series of rods. One was perfect for drifting for fluke around Long Island, NY. If money was a customer issue I would send them to this tackle shop with the model #. So I called Diawa and asked who made the blank and what model#. The person said they had no idea as the finished rods came in from overseas. So I doubt if you will find out. Lamiglas has a cross reference on their website that lists a large number of their blanks.
Regarding Daiwa, I believe about three years ago a part of their blanks were made in Korea. Don Becker Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/15/2015 09:00PM by Donald Becker. Re: Blank
