OK - kind of a part 2 from my other post.

What is your favorite tape for TN handles?

Thanks - Marc

Keep it simple - that's all I can handle!

I like the tape one also uses on tennis raquet handles.
Cheap, comes in lots of colors, good grip even when wet.

Marc,
I use simple black plastic electricians tape. Works well, doesn't show dirt and is widely available. If you buy the better tape, it has better adhesive, stretches without tearing and is longer lasting than the less expensive tape.

Be safe

I like medical adhesive tape. Is waterproof and good stickiness.

I really like a short wrap of 3/4' strapping tape and then a 2' length of X-flock heat shrink tubing on each reel foot. I also have two rods that I wrapped the reel on but thats a lot of work.

I believe 3M makes a plumbers tape that has no adhesives, it only sticks to itself. Stretches nicely so the reel is secure. One piece on each foot and then cover with grip tape and it's good for the summer.

Silicone tape, aka tommy tape, aka plumbers tape. It stretches and sticks to itself so no residue is left behind.

Hockey tape! Does not leave sticky film like electric tape does not stretch in the heat either. easy on hand with no slip even with minnow sloppy fingers on the ice.

Strapping tape holds the real in place. Then I cover with black electrical tape. Actually once the strapping tape is on any cover is fine!
