I have added some of these in to TN handles, and it really makes for a nice tough base that does not dent in much from the reel foot or rings.
Does anyone have a particular type of burl or other cork they like on TN handles for durability? The recent dark mix I got seems like it may not be as hard as the old brown burl just from playing with it, and burnt cork seems to be the hardest - key word - seems. What have you guys found? The toughest cork is rubberized cork. Re: Dark Mix, Burnt, or Brown Burl on TN Handles

if you worry about tuffness of your cork the rubberize cork will wear the best , rubber holds the cork pices together , the BURNT cork or party color's is held todether by glue, the rubber will take the beating the best, I have found, not to say the partical cork [ party colors] is bad it is just not as tuff from my findings , not all rubberize cork is the same color some light brow to dark brown depends on who mage it , most of the time just put rubberize cork on the ends an it will be fine William Sidney AK Re: Dark Mix, Burnt, or Brown Burl on TN Handles
