I am lost on this one and only know to ask the guys that have helped me before!
I have a customer that wants a spinning rod made to order that will compare with a Dobyns 7'6" 765SF in action. With that said, he wants 7'6" heavy action with a fast tip. Will be using it for Bass in California, fishing grass/tules, ect... My problem is, he needs it light weight, he is an older gentleman with shoulder issues and the weight is very important. I was looking at doing a Phenix k2, but not sure the tip will be fast enough. I have built a few spinners from casting blanks without a problem, but at different powers. I also looked at the Batson IMMC76H or MH, again, but am worried about sensitivity. The biggest concern is this will be an expensive build that will be a one of a kind and want this guy happy to say the least. What ideas do you Guru's have for me? Thanks, Lee Re: Help Blank Guru's

Lee,
I'd take a good look at the MB905-MHX or MB904-MHX, both light weight and balance very well built spinning. [www.mudhole.com] Regards, Todd Regards, Todd Vivian Mud Hole Custom Tackle todd@mudhole.com Re: Help Blank Guru's

Todd,
How is the castability of that blank? This runs into my issues with this build. Kinda have to have it all, Strength/Sensitivity/Lightness/Castability. I use a ton of MHX blanks, mostly the HM models, how is this blank compared? Re: Help Blank Guru's

thanks Gene, I'll look into that blank. I haven't used many St.Croix, but know they have a good reputation. Re: Help Blank Guru's

the customer is leaning toward the Immortal Series RainShadow, IMMC76H but he is scared it's going to be a broom stick with NO flex. Anybody tried these yet? I know they are new and I have not used them. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
