I just got a 7 1/2' Montague somers point bamboo boat rod. the 2 halfs are stuck. I got the 2 pcs out of the furrows but the top one was cracked and they are stuck together. so my ? is can I get the orginal part or should a just order a new one that would not be the orginal. these have a step in them. I think I stole this pole. $5.00, the guy wanted 10 then 8, got it for 5 with an old fly reel very small black that says made in USA. it works great and I got a fly pole that will work great with it. he wanted 5 for the reel so I told him the reel and pole for 10. ha, he went for it.
I'll need new guilds except the tip which is unusual so I'll keep it. A new rod build in the works. thanks for all your help with this.

If the ferrule is cracked you'll need a new one. Montague's aren't particularly valuable and if you plan to fish with it I'd just get new ferrules sets for each assembly.
