warped rod blanks

I have noticed that some of the rod blanks I receive new and after they are built are slightly warped to one side of the spine..
I hand wrap my blanks and this occurred on most of the spinning rods of all different length, brands, and stiffness..even a row piece rod.
I store my rods and blanks in a totally vertical position in a rack with no pressure from tip to just below or above the butt guide .. .
Is this caused by me during the drying and rolling proces??.
or is it just part of the process from the manufacturer???

B.t.w.
IM ENJOYING THE SUBSCRIPTION TO ROD MAKER TOM!!!!!!! THANKS

Do you - before any work is done on the blank Check them for Straightness buy eyeing them or rolling them on a flat surface
Most roll there blanks and mark any slight bend Put the bend up and mark that as top or 0 degress

It's almost impossible to craft a perfectly straight rod blank. In fact, it's tough to make one that's even close to straight. But this doesn't hurt the rod.

In fact, if you'll forget about the spine and build the rod on the straightest axis, orienting any "warp" or curve up, you'll find the rod is then straight at least on the sighting and main fishing axis.

Tom and Bill, i'm amazed!!! thank you tremendously for making that clear and including those useful options to help compensate for that particular situation on future builds.
All the very best to everyone this 4th of July .

No, it's not necessary to find the spine. It has no practical effect on a rod's performance.
