What are the ring sizes? Are the running guides single foot? Chris Richer Iroquois ON Re: Introducing......

Thanks Chris.... The stripper guide is a 50/30 with a 16 transition and 12 runners. This guide train was designed to cast mono, flouro and braid very effectively. Re: Introducing......

Instead of Carp Caster I would have named it Surf Caster. This looks like it would be the ticket for larger surf reels with bigger 20 to 25 pound mono. Re: Introducing......

You are correct James, it is a great choice for heavy surf casting rigs as well. The name Carp Caster is to target the second largest fishery in the world. You can see in the description that surf casting rods are mentioned. Re: Introducing......

Time to find some die hard carp anglers here. Not too many surf guys in Ontario. Looks really good though. Are they the Tidal wave titanium or stainless steel? Rolly Beenen Rovic Custom Rods Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 06/11/2014 01:34PM by Rolly Beenen. Re: Introducing......

With size 12 runners, what types of knots are you trying to pass? My understanding is that most carp fishing is with lighter line. Chris Richer Iroquois ON Re: Introducing......

In the UK the mono line weights for carp are generally 15 to 20#. The larger guides will help pass all knots and also make the system compatible for surf applications where stronger/heavier lines are used. Re: Introducing......

Hello,
They look nice. Is there a recommended lay-out for the stripper and transition guides similar to your other MicroWaves? How soon can we expect to see them being sold by the sponsors to the left? Thank you. -chad Re: Introducing......

Chad.... there are some recommended measurement ranges that will come with the set. The measurements with the carp caster is not as precise as the standard spinning set due to the huge fluctuation in rod lengths, powers and grip lengths used for carp and surf. We are hoping to have them in full production soon and get them to distributors before the end of summer. When we get the first shipment you will know. The response to the release today has been overwhelming to say the least. Re: Introducing......

Two questions:
How tall is the stripper and can the stripper be purchased alone or will we have to purchase the entire package of guides? Thanks, Frank Re: Introducing......

Don,
From the picture the feet will need preparing before binding. Will this be the case or is the image from the engineering drawings? Re: Introducing......

Frank, it is 3.4" tall (about the same as a "K" guide, and lighter). It will be available in the set.
Glenn, the feet will be ground as usual. So you can prep them the way you do now. Re: Introducing......
