My customer wants me to build a Bushido BP 86600. He wants me to use a Aftco aluminum reel seat and gimbal. He wants me to use heatshrink for grips. I dont know how to cover the space at each end of the reel seat and the gimbal . Could someone please help me with this. Thanks. Or should he use foam ?

Gary,

We use thread and then cover with finish. This is the same look as on most surf rod. You can use winding checks if you can get the correct size.
