Rating a blank

Hi,
New to rod building and purchased a number of blanks with no identification markings. They are supposedly Kilwell brand. I have contacted Kilwell and their response is to ship blanks to them to identify. I am in Melbourne Australia and Kilwell are in New Zealand so shipping is too costly. Is there any method of rating each blank?

Any information would be appreciated.

G'Day Glenn You might try Wilson I think they now have the Kilwell blank branded with their name .If that doesn't work have a look at "The Rodworks" site .There is a link on the left of this page

Are you looking for a name or for what use the blank is best suited?

Baz, Phil and John
I have tried the Wilson site but I could not find blanks listed. My problem is that there is no markings on any of my blanks, so nothing to compare to. I think I will have to follow John's suggestion and muddle my way through the Common Cents information.

Thanks

The CCS will provide you with relative measurements of the blanks, but not any sort of factory identification or usage.
