Well, in my 'not paying attention mode', I got some epoxy on one of the new AT Aero Comfort Grips, and tired to use a small amount of acetone to remove my slip up... BAD MOVE.. the acetone stripped the comfort grip finish and left it looking like heck..Don't try this at home kids... Any Suggestions other than "don't do that again"? Edited 1 time(s). You probably could of headed it a tad ,with a blow dryer on low . Just enough to warm it , then try peeling it off with an old credit card .A word of caution , be real careful with the heat ..

You could try to wash the rest of the comfort grip off with that acetone
They do come both ways with and with-out the comfort grip Bill - willierods.com Re: Aero Comfort Grips

Thanks Don! Bill, I am going to clean off the rest of the flat black and go with glossy. I wonder how the grips will hold up if they see gasoline or bug spray on your hands. Guess time will tell.. Love how they feel though. Re: Aero Comfort Grips

Maybe take it to a machine shop that has a compressed sand cleaning booth. Have to turn the pressure way down, but that's the only way I can think of to keep a textured finish on it. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
