I have 2 NFC rods that I am building for a customer and when I went to put the decal on they provided it did not stick. No directions came with the decal, but the last blank I got from batson had instructions that said to heat the decal, even though it was actually a peel and stick that I'm used to. So I tried heating the NFC decal and got it to partially stick, ripping it apart as I removed the backing and ultimately ruining it. Has anyone ran into these? And whats the proper methed to apply them? Re: North fork composites decal

It's a dry tranfer decal.

Zachary,
I have only built one NFC Blank, (a d/s rod a fiend had to have). I too screwed up the decal when trying to apply it to the blank. I contacted NFC and the nice lady there sent me a new decal with written instruction on how to apply it. It was a lot different then the normal "sticky back" decal. I watched the instructions on line and still screwed it up. Just a little area of the decal warped a little on application. I think this happens if you allow the decal to move even slightly after starting the application. It doesn't take much. So I took it off, designed, printed, and applied my own. I too have had this issue and had to resort to a custom decal. Re: North fork composites decal

the dry transfers are a pain to apply. I had a friend incorporate their artwork into my standard decal/logo and had Decal Connection make a peel-n-stick.

If you have proof that you purchased the blank, Decal Connection will make the decal for you. Providing you send them the artwork. I also have Rainshadow, Forecast, Shikari, CTS and St. Croix artwork. And since becoming a NFC ARB, I have a whole folder of art, provided by them. Edited 1 time(s).
