im makin a striper rod and im using eva for the first time. I miss measured on the size and now I have one that is way too tight and one that is too loose. I don't have a reamer for the tight one. can I use tape arbors or should I just build it up with thread. its prob a good 1/16 at the reel seat and a lil more up the blank. foregrip is gonna be about 6 or 7 inches. thanks

EVA will stretch a good bit. Check the FAQs page here for installation instructions. On the one that is too lose, some closely spiraled D or E thread, or even some 1mm cord may be your best answer, outside of ordering new pieces.

Greg,
I would just use masking tape to form an arbor.
Use 1/2 inch wide masking tape. Between each row of tape wrap, leave about 1/16th inch space, so that epoxy can get to the blank.
Nothing wrong at all with using masking tape as long as you leave spaces beween the rows of tape wrap to get epoxy from the blank to the grip.

The grip will be solid and long lasting.

Be safe

Roger
just did a couple of arbors and it worked out PERFECTLY! just saved me a bunch of headaches since this is my first time with eva. would you recommend u-40 rod bond or flex coat builders? next time I will measure more carefully. and this will let me do my butt wrap under the foregrip and put a winding check on for a clean look.

Greg,
Epoxy is a great glue.
Generally speaking, use the brand Epoxy that works for you.

Both are good choices and do the intended job well. My preference is the rod bond as it sticks where you put it. The Flex-Coat will run and will add more clean up time. I also feel the Rod Bond has a better lubricating ability to slide a tight grip down.

I always prep the blank where eva sits For a better grip Then arbors
