You can get epoxy that sets in an hour, 45 minutes, 30 minutes, 15 minutes, 12 minutes, 5 minutes and 3 minutes.
Buy and use the glue that you need for the working time of the glue. If you raise the temperature to about 110 degrees, you will cure the glue in about 1/2 the time it would be if it were at 65 degrees as Bill has said. Be safe Re: Rod Building 101

Does anyone have any idea where 24 hr epoxy can be found? I've used it in the past for cork grips but can't find it any more. What would be a good substitute? Re: Rod Building 101

I like time to make minor adjustments and absolutely hate fast cure glues and epoxies!!! Re: Rod Building 101

Thanks guys. This post was more of a gentle, comic reminder to myself to, 'let the epoxy do what it is meant to do' . Roger, I know it's kinda like money .... if you have $15 dollars and you spend $16, you're in some trouble. Re: Rod Building 101

Richard,
Regular Rod Bond has a pretty long pot life. You can glue up your piece and then make adjustments for a couple hours after that under most conditions. Terry Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
