Just wondering where everyone else finds fiberglass blanks to be cut up for rod repairs. I try to keep my eyes open for them at yard sales and such, but all i ever find is graphite. Re: fiberglass for repair

And if nothing else, lower priced new blanks, either hollow or solid glass, like Batson SPG601 or Ice Fishing blanks.

A couple of the advertisers to the left have closeouts and "trash can" specials from time to time - you can occasionally pick up blanks for $5 - $20 - buy a few, then you have the entire taper covered when you need it... Re: fiberglass for repair

Johnny at Anglers Roost just starting carrying some glass fly blanks for a really good price. I would guess they would pay for themselves in the first repair. Re: fiberglass for repair

Ron Schneider, those are pretty inexpensive glass blanks. Any chance of you breaking them in half to make shipping less expensive? :-) Re: fiberglass for repair

A chop saw works better than breaking the blanks.

Better than our current Free Shipping on orders over $ 25.00 and just $ 5.00 with blanks up to 6 foot included? Best wishes, Ron Schneider Schneider's Rod Shop Mountain Home, Arkansas [www.schneidersrods.com] mtnron40@yahoo.com 870-424-3381 Re: fiberglass for repair

Sounds like a pretty good deal, Ron. Not sure how to beat that! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
