Remember that you can use casting type guides on a spinning rod. To get the height you may need for the first few guides, you may have to use very large diameter sizes, but these will give you the strength you desire. You may lose a tad on casting performance, a tad, but depending on what your priority is this might not matter to you.

Going to be casting and paddling baits. Basically looking for the biggest nastiest guides so to speak. Will be using a spinfisher 10500 so the guides will need to be fairly large. Thanks for the info. Re: heavy heavy heavy...

Hello,
Have you looked at American Tackle's Virtus (heavy) casting guides? Rated 50-80lb. They are tough and work very well here in Hawaii shore casting for Giant Trevally (60-80 lb line 250lb+ mono leaders). Largest ring is a size 40, and at 27.5mm from rod blank to bottom of the ring, it just might work for a spinning set-up. chad Re: heavy heavy heavy...

The heaviest popping rods designed to fight 300+ pound tuna use Fuji MNSG's. Re: heavy heavy heavy...

Either one will work well Both are heavy framed guides
I also believe the Fuji HB's are the highest heavy duty guides may help to line up your reel Bill - willierods.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
