I have a customer that wants a 5.5', two-piece blank capable of handling fish from 50-125lbs. He's after Mekong catfish. I've not built a rod in this class before so this is out of my area of expertise. I've searched all of my suppliers and catalogs and the only one I've found is a verticle jigging blank from Mudhole. Can anyone help me out with a suggestion or two?
Edit: I just got off the phone with a rep from Mudhole and he thought the CBV5650-2 would work well. It's their heaviest 5.5', two-piece verticle jigging blank. That's probably what I'll go with unless anyone has a better suggestion. thanks, jeremy Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/10/2014 10:19AM by Jeremy Wagner. Re: Looking for specific blank

Bill, I just called again the the CBVJ5650-2 and the CBVJ6050-2 are both discontinued. The guy even ran back and looked for me, nothing left. I'm just worried the CBVJ5640-2 won't be heavy enough.

Jeremy I tink there are a bunch of companies that make blanks that you are looking for, all are made for the ASian market. I have to make him a couple of sets of grips before you can work on tehrods, maybe I can find the blank and fit the grips, and just send it over to you to work on. Re: Looking for specific blank
