tidal wave casting guides

I purchased two sets of the MicroWave/TidalWave casting guides for a 6'6" and a 7' casting rod. The running guide placement isn't a problem but the placement of the two transition guides, and choker, is something new to me. My question concerns the distance between the reel and the first and second guides. Does this system need a specific spacing to make it work properly or should it be treated like any other casting setup. The setup that comes with the guides doesn't seem right because there is a big difference between the reel and the first guide placement on the two rods while there is only an inch difference in the lengths of the two handles. Any opinion on what it takes to make this system work would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Lynn

If you're talking about a casting rod there wouldn't be any sort of "choker" guide in the same sense that you'd have one on a spinning rod. Best bet is probably to contact Amtak and get a recommendation on how they're doing it. I doubt it's going to be anywhere near as critical as it would be on a spinning rod.

Lynn, I recommend using the provided spacing chart then adjust accordingly using static placement. I think you will find that minimum movement will be necessary.

Since the casting setup doesn't seem as critical as the spinning, and static placement will give me the right guide placement, then I will just do it the way I have in the past using static placement . No offense to American Tackle, but when I looked at their chart that came with the sets a couple of the distances just seemed strange on both rods, which made me skeptical.
Thank you for the feedback and since I've got a set of the TidalWave spinning guides coming off backorder soon, I'm sure that they will present a new adventure like the casting set has.
Thanks,
Lynn
